How do I install it?
Put EchoLogs-MVP-2.0.5.exe (about 79 MB) and ggml-base.en-q5_1.bin (about 60 MB) in the same folder, then run the exe. After installation, a blue-and-white microphone icon floats on top of your desktop. Double-click it to open the scratch pad.
Google Drive says it can't scan the file for viruses.
That's normal. Drive shows this notice for every large file. Choose Download anyway.
Windows shows a "Windows protected your PC" screen.
Windows shows this for new apps that aren't code-signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
It says the model is missing.
Keep ggml-base.en-q5_1.bin in the same folder as the exe, and don't rename it.
How do I know it's transcribing?
A small red indicator appears in the bottom-right corner only while it's transcribing.
Can it read text to me?
Yes. Double-click the floating mic icon to open the scratch pad, paste or drop text in, and press Read aloud. You can change the speed.
Does it save my voice?
No. It saves text only, no audio, on your own PC.
